4/10/23 - MEG's Gift is proud to announce that NAMI (National Association on Mental Illness) will be our primary beneficiary for 2023.

In 2018, MEG's Gift donated $45,000 to NAMI. The funds donated supported the “Ending the Silence” initiative, a program targeted to teens which is made available to all public and private schools in Monroe and surrounding counties.

Our relationship with and appreciation for NAMI has blossomed over the years.  They have expanded their programs to include support for suicide loss survivors as well as the LGBTQ community, NAMI does so many great things for so many people in Rochester, making them an exceptional choice as our primary beneficiary for the second time.

Throughout her life, Megan Elizabeth Garbach was an emulation of compassion, giving and kindness.  She unabashedly shared these gifts with each person she met.  When Megan tragically lost her battle with depression in 2014, her family and friends promised that the manner of her death would not define how she was known in life. Instead, they wanted to ensure that the gifts Meg so freely gave to the world during her lifetime were her legacy.

To do this, they created MEG’s Gift, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity.
